For Dutch artist Irene Hoff, the world is out of balance. She longs for a world where compassion, intuition and balance are the main elements of existence. Irene's art is imbued with passion, hope and inspiration, provoking the viewer to be more mindful.
Irene's unique insights stem from the fact that she has been living in Asia for more than 20 years. She speaks the language of the West and simultaneously feels the unspoken energies of the East. Irene lives with her two daughters on the beautiful Indonesian island of Bali.
Remarkable about Irene's art is the mixing and matching of different styles, which at first glance seem controversial. The subtle details and harmonious color combinations make her art interesting, and make you want to look at it longer to discover more.
One of Irene's animal paintings was signed by actor and environmental activist Leonardo DiCaprio, which she then donated to charity (2016). She was recently published in '100 artists of the future', a collector's edition curated by The Contemporary Art Curator Magazine (2019).
