Biography

Panupong Tantiyothin, known as Bom, was born in 1984 in Bangkok, where he completed art school.

He discovered the brush early, he was only five years old. Over the years his view of art and the world has developed, but in fact he has not let go of the brush. It became a medium to communicate with the world.

Artistic icons from different times such as; Picasso, Basquiat and Calder became sources of inspiration for this young artist. What is striking about his paintings is a narrative and fragmented, visual language, enhanced by collage techniques. In this way, the powerful touch of Expressionism meets media storylines from Pop Art and eventually runs hand in hand with playful, colorful strokes, characteristic of Graffiti expressions. His work is not inhibited by a stiffened rationale, but guided by feeling: a ratatouille of identity recognition.

Different processing of techniques, art movements and cultural expressions suit this contemporary artist. Our zeitgeist is eclectic in an age of globalization.
