Biography

Olla, as he is called by his friends, started drawing and painting at an early age. Olla originally comes from Jakarta, where he developed an interest in music until he came into contact with the visual world of graffiti in his teens. When Olla moved to Bali in 1999, he started making fluro-fantasy art and large-area airbrushing. After a year he started working on canvas with Affandi, Basquiat and Cobra as his strongest influences. Olla's work has a similar rebelliousness and rebelliousness, which he expresses in his own words of symbols and images.

His artworks confront the public with global questions and dillemas. He translates his ongoing, personal experiences into a rich, modern symbolism, which transcends the boundaries of language, directly on the canvas. This produces powerful messages in his Basquiat-like work.
