What are your sources of inspiration? "The love for crafts. I love transforming material into a shape: glass blowing, bronze casting, etc. I learned the art from real craftsmen, such as glass blowing from a master in Murano and carpentry from a Dutch boat builder. I learned how to set gemstones in Bangkok, silver casting and carving in Bali. I especially find the melting of different materials into glass magical. That alchemy fascinates me, as does the combination of old crafts with new techniques and materials. For example, I regularly travel to China and Taiwan to follow the latest developments in light sources, LED and alternative energy".
