Erik Zwezerijnen prefers to describe his style as graceful-figurative; recognizable shapes, created from a great freedom. The ultimate combination of reality and fantasy.

For him, art also means communication. He prefers to paint with his hands in order to have as close contact as possible with the material and ultimately with himself.

Erik Zwezerijnen was born in Utrecht, but currently lives and works in a small church in Nieuw-Buinen, Drenthe. There he translates art into freedom, as he so beautifully expresses the effect of painting on him.
