The life trajectory of Elsa Garate has always been linked to the world of Art. After several exhibitions in Malaga at an early age, she moved to Barcelona where she studied Art History at the University of Barcelona, ​​Graphic Design and Illustration, after which she combined the creation of her Artistic Work with her dedication to work as Ad Art Director and Creative Director at Fashion Agencies. In 2010 she locates her Studio in Malaga from where she is then focused on her Artistic Creation. Her works have been exhibited in national and international Galleries and her work is part of numerous Private Collections in Europe and the United States.

The purpose of my work is to evoke, convey, and share emotions, thereby creating a deep connection with the observer. But these are not just any emotions; they are aesthetic emotions. The magical feeling of aesthetic emotions is a highly personal experience because it stems from your unique connection with a work of art.
My work explores the space between realism and abstraction, and I find that perfect combination for my goals. Emotions are energy, and when I paint emotional characters, I infuse them with energy and momentum to take action.
Painting allows me to create characters with strong feelings and layers of emotional depth, as such stories originate from a place of deep emotional truths within me.
